Alicia Machado

Actressstars.com: Alicia Machado Fajardo (December 6, 1976) is a Venezuelan model and actress. Venezuela is the fourth to win the Miss Universe. Earlier she had won the Miss Venezuela 1995 on behalf of Yaracuy state.

Biography

Alicia Machado was born in Maracay, Venezuela. Machado is the daughter of Arturo, a Spanish immigrant, while his mother, Martha Fajardo is the origin of Cuba. He is the fourth woman from Venezuela to win the Miss Universe crown. He is the winner in the 1995 edition of Miss Venezuela, representing the state Yaracuy. Immediately after receiving the title of “World Coffee Queen” 1996, in San Salvador (El Salvador), he went to the United States to represent their country (Venezuela) in the Miss Universe, and although not a favorite, without hesitation against Machado won the night Friday, May 17, 1996, Miss Universe 1996, among the 79 candidates, the event held at the Aladdin Theater for the Arts in Las Vegas. In addition, he compatriot Jacqueline Aguilera, also won the Miss World crown in 1995, marking the second time that Venezuela won two world titles in the same pageant. On June 25, 2008, Machado became the mother of a girl named Dinorah, in Miami, United States.
